Catherine Wheeler/August 25, 1952-November 18, 2015

Surrounded by friends, Cathy Wheeler passed away at home, Nov. 18, 2014 from ALS at the age of 62.
Cathy, a long time resident of Eatonville, was a dedicated teacher at Challenger High School.
Cathy was born in Colorado to a military family. She spent her childhood traveling throughout the South Pacific, living in Japan, Australia and settling in Hawaii. While living in Hawaii, Cathy was a surfer, scuba instructor, raced motorcycles. She trained as a bookkeeper. As an adult Cathy moved to Washington. She graduated from Evergreen State University and began to teach, first in elementary and then high school. Cathy loved teaching and she loved her students. She had a strong dedication to their learning and their future.
Cathy’s favorite past times included movies, mysteries novels, crocheting, gardening and especially traveling.
