Derek “Uncle Dude” Harris, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Oct 7, 2016.
He was born at Good Samaritan hospital in Puyallup WA, on May 19, 1985.
He lived life to the fullest, and definitely under his own terms. He was so loving, kind hearted and always made everyone around him laugh. Nothing meant more to Derek than his family, and would do anything for any of us. He also had an amazing work family at Umpqua bank that he looked forward to seeing everyday. He put his heart and soul into everything he did, and especially making others smile.
Derek is survived by his mom Donna Harris-Steffen (step-dad Jerry), Brother Darren Harris, Sister Darcy (Scott) Loftus, Nephew’s Kahne Loftus and Jaden Steffen, Niece Brooke Harris, Step-Brother Jamie (Jess) Steffen, Best Friend Crystal Lymas, Grandmother Mary Neilson, numerous Aunt’s, Uncle’s, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his Dad Douglas Harris, Grandfather Dan Neilson, Brother Dan “Big Sexy” Harris, and Aunt Nancy Walter.
